The World Famous is a company of creative pyrotechnicians with a passion for playing with fire.
We use fireworks, fire, flame and special effects to animate, amaze, celebrate and communicate. Our shows combine pyrotechnics with performance, music, lighting and projections. Busy, Busy, Busy! - 29 July 2010
Our performance of Full Circle on 16th July at the first IF Festival in Milton Keynes was a great success with some great audience feedback – “..I particularly liked the way in which the sound and display were linked, I really appreciated the fusion between the two arts.”
Now we are into the busiest week of the year with back to back events and some serious planning to make sure the correct equipment turns up at the correct festival!
First up on 1st August is Camp Bestival at the beautiful Lulworth Castle in Dorset. We are creating an awe inspiring pyrotechnic display with Lulworth Castle once again providing a stunning backdrop. The show, designed by Maria Hingerty & Mike Roberts, will be set to eclectic music mixed by Rob da Bank.
Next we are shipping Full Circle out to Portugal where we will be performing on 6&7th August at the Festival Dos Oceanos in Praça do Comércio, Lisbon, Portugal. This year’s Festival is celebrating the centenary of the Portugese Republic. Click on More Dates below to read more.
We will also have a team on site at the Big Chill Festival at Eastnor Castle. Back for the third consecutive year; Mandy Dike will be creating another amazing sculptural bonfire which will be animated by fireworks and performance, to light up the finale of this fabulous music festival on 8th August.
After all this we would like to have a lie down in a dark room! However we will be busy getting ready for Bestival on the Isle of Wight at the Robin Hill Country Park on 12 September. Mandy Dike will once again create an amazing sculptural bonfire animated with fireworks.
