Mike Roberts, Company Director mike@theworldfamous.co.uk
Mike is responsible for the overall management and development of the company and works variously as producer, director and pyrotechnician. With a background in physics & photography, he discovered the joys of black powder in 1994, and hasn’t looked back. A certified workaholic, he occasionally escapes his desk to load a truck or ‘burn some stuff’.

A founder member of TWF Mandy has worked for many of the country’s leading theatre & fireworks companies. She has been building bonfires, designing firework shows and creating firedrawings for over 20 years, is full of fantastic ideas, and has a habit of turning those ideas into incredible shows.
Maria Hingerty, Associate Director (Pyrotechnician, Performer, Project Manager) maria@theworldfamous.co.uk
Formerly a director of Theatre of Fire, Maria has been instrumental in the development of theatre-based pyrotechnics in the UK and Ireland. Working with The World Famous since 1999, she has an encyclopaedic knowledge of fireworks and their effects, and an infectious enthusiasm for filling the sky with red, gold & purple.
Pippa Bailey, Associate Director (Strategic Producer, Performance Director) pippa@theworldfamous.co.uk
Pippa trained as an actress and has worked in theatre, TV and visual arts as a performer, curator, director, writer and producer, in Australia & the UK. With a determinedly idealistic view of the power of theatre, she manages the development and marketing of the company, as well as directing performance in some of our shows.

Tim’s rare skill in metalwork and prop-construction comes from his many years of work as a boat-builder. Reluctant to describe himself as an artist, he nevertheless makes a huge creative contribution to the company.

Mat joined TWF in 2007, bringing his experience of touring theatre. Invariably the most cheerful member of the company, he has successfully acclimatised to the outdoor environment and set new records for multitasking.

Ben is the latest addition to our team, bringing with him a wealth of experience of theatre and events. He is responsible for our premises in Hadlow and is overhauling the way we work to make the company more effective, safer and more sustainable.
